How to Select a Wedding Bouquet
Flower Bouquets are designed to the size, style and color of the Wedding Dress and the Bridesmaids’ Dresses. So it’s very important to bring pictures of your dresses with you to your Florist Appointment. If you have swatches, those will help too!
The Goal - Flowers that accent and enhance the look and style of your dress.
Size of Bouquet - The size of your bouquet should be in proportion to you and your dress. If your bouquet is too small, the dress can overwhelm your flowers and go unnoticed or they can seem disproportionate. If the bouquet is too large, the opposite can happen, and your dress gets overpowered by the flowers. Balance here is key.
Style of Bouquet - As for style, when your dress is simple, elegant without texture then it is fine to do a bouquet with texture. When your dress is textured, patterned or embellished, then a simpler bouquet would be best.
But there’s always exceptions to these rules, and that’s why it’s important for a professional florist to really sit down with you and look at the dresses to make a determination on what will look best.
